GLOSSARY
Power Consumption (Mist Cooling)
Power draw for high-pressure outdoor mist cooling is typically 750–4,400 watts by tier — one-tenth to one-twentieth of outdoor mechanical AC. A standard 300 m² restaurant system running 6 h/day uses ≈ 18 kWh/day (≈ 27,000 IDR at PLN 1,500/kWh).

Pump wattage by system tier
| System tier | Pump power | Daily 6h | Monthly 30d | IDR cost/month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MistPro 100 (compact) | 750 W | 4.5 kWh | 135 kWh | ≈ 200k IDR |
| MistPro 300/400 (standard) | 2,200 W | 13.2 kWh | 396 kWh | ≈ 594k IDR |
| MistPro 600/700 (high-cap) | 4,400 W | 26.4 kWh | 792 kWh | ≈ 1.2M IDR |
Calculated at PLN commercial tariff 1,500 IDR/kWh. Residential tariff (B1/B2) runs 1,400–1,700 IDR/kWh; premium commercial (above 200 kVA) can drop to 1,100 IDR/kWh.
Why power draw is so low
A pump at 70 bar compresses water, not air. Water is nearly incompressible, so the pump only needs to overcome line friction and nozzle backpressure — mechanical work that scales with flow rate, not air-volume cooled. One 2.2 kW pump can cool 300 m² of terrace; an outdoor AC system covering the same area would draw 30–45 kW.
Electrical install requirements
- MistPro 100: standard 220V / 10A single-phase (any residential outlet)
- MistPro 300/400: 220V / 16A dedicated circuit
- MistPro 600/700: 220V / 25A or 380V 3-phase for commercial, depending on pump model
All pump enclosures are IP55-rated; no special electrical-room requirement for Indonesian commercial kitchens or service corridors.
